Brittany Schoepp-Wong is a Member and Co-deputy Chair of the higher education practice at Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC. At Bond, she advises colleges, universities, and other organizations on a wide range of complex legal issues and recently served as interim general counsel to a firm client. Brit provides trusted counsel to senior administrators on issues across nearly all aspects of university life, informed by over a decade of in-house experience, including most recently at New York University. In addition to her legal role at NYU, Brit served on its leadership team as Senior Policy Advisor to the President, where she advanced university-wide initiatives on promoting diverse perspectives through dialogue and developing understanding across different religious groups. She has also served in-house at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Pennsylvania State University, and she has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Columbia Law School. In addition to her NACUA participation, Brit has spoken at forums hosted by the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities in New York, the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Navy.
Jeff Silvyn was appointed as the first General Counsel for Pima County Community College District in 2013. The College has five campuses and serves over 40,000 students annually. Previously, he spent five years as General Counsel for the Morris and Stewart Udall Foundation, a federal agency devoted to environmental conflict resolution and education. His legal career began with fifteen years in private practice, focused on employment law and commercial litigation. Jeff served as a Vice-chair for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the American Bar Association Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources and as adjunct faculty for the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. He is a former Chair of the Arizona State Bar Labor and Employment Law Section. Jeff received a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1992. He is admitted to practice in Arizona and California.
