The First 100 Days | Washington Update

It’s a busy time in Washington. As the Trump administration continues making widespread changes impacting higher education, the Senate and House passed a budget resolution that will make its way through Congressional committees. The resulting final reconciliation bill could have major implications for higher education, including changes to grad PLUS student loans, imposing risk-sharing penalties on colleges and universities, increasing the excise tax on certain university endowments, and more.

Please join us for this 30-minute audio-only briefing, in which Jonathan Fansmith, Senior Vice President for Government Relations and National Engagement at the American Council on Education will deliver this Washington Update, focusing on the budget reconciliation process and other timely executive, legislative, and regulatory activity.

This briefing is a part of NACUA’s Transition Updates: The First 100 Days series.
