Legal Issues Related to Students:  Developments, Trends, and Approaches Defining the Modern Practice of Higher Education Law

Who Should Attend

This is an intermediate-advanced level program. Registrants will be presumed to have general knowledge of legal issues related to college and university students.  The program is directed to college and university counsel with responsibility for legal issues related to students. Campus administrators such as student affairs officials, Title IX administrators, compliance officers, and others with significant responsibility for or interaction with such issues will also benefit from the program, and after reviewing the program schedule, NACUA members may wish to invite such administrators to attend the program.

1Receipt Date

Advance registration for the January 2020 CLE Workshop will close on January 23, 2020. If after January 23, 2020 you would like to register for the workshop, NACUA will process your registration on site. Please bring a copy of the registration form and a signed endorsement letter (if applicable) to the registration desk at the Intercontinental New Orleans. 2What is included in my registration fee?
Your registration fee includes: Entrance to all sessions, CLE credit fee, continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheon, reception, and pre- and post-event online access to materials.

3Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted through the online request form on or before January 29, 2020No refunds will be granted for requests submitted after January 29, 2019.

A refund of all fees, minus a $75 administrative fee, will be given for cancellations received on or before January 23, 2020.

Requests for cancellations received between January 24, 2020 and January 29, 2020 will be granted a full refund minus the $75 administrative fee and a $230 food and beverage fee.  As of mid-January, NACUA had to guarantee all food and beverage expenses for all registered attendees.

NACUA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows.  All approved refunds will be granted after the workshop. 

NOTE: The cancellation policy applies to all registrants for the 2020 January CLE Workshop regardless of payment method. Attendees with unpaid invoices cancelled under this policy are still responsible for payment of the administrative and food and beverage fees.

4Photography
A professional photographer may be on site to document the meeting event and activities. Photographs and video footage are the sole property of NACUA. By registering for and/or attending this event, attendees understand that NACUA may use their likenesses for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify the photographer on site.
