Patricia (Patty) Petrowski; Member, 2021-2024

Patricia Petrowski

Patricia (Patty) Petrowski is Associate Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at the University of Michigan.  In that role, Patricia helps to oversee 16 attorneys and five paralegals and provides legal support to the University on a broad range of issues. Prior to joining the Office of the Vice President and General Counsel, Patty was a partner with a large Chicago-based international law firm, where she worked from 2000-2014. As a partner in the firm's complex litigation group, she litigated, arbitrated, and tried cases involving a variety of subject matters, with significant experience representing major research universities and academic medical centers.

Patty has been a NACUA member since 2014. She has served on the Committee on Membership and Member Services and on the Committee on Legal Education. She currently serves on the Committee on Program for Annual Conference. She has attended 15 NACUA programs, speaking or leading discussions at eight, and has spoken at two NACUA webinars.  

Patricia received a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School. She received a bachelor's degree with High Honors in Political Economy from Michigan State University and was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
