Rick Evrard Headshot
Richard J. Evrard, Member, Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC. Rick understands the unique world of collegiate sports, having spent his career helping clients navigate through the many compliance and regulatory issues they face.He represents colleges and universities nationwide in NCAA compliance, infractions and legal matters and has represented and consulted with members of the Southeastern, Atlantic Coast, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, Big East, American Athletic, Big West and Big South conferences and Conference USA. He also works with collegiate coaches and administrators and conference commissioners.

In addition to handling matters of NCAA rules infractions, compliance and interpretation, Rick has designed and executed audits and other innovative proactive and preventive efforts involving both men’s and women’s athletics programs. He is experienced in commenting to the media on behalf of his clients.

Before joining Bond in 1992, Rick was an NCAA staffer, serving first as an enforcement representative and then as director of legislative services. He also functioned as NCAA staff liaison to many committees and groups including the NCAA Recruiting Committee, Student-Athlete Committee, Interpretations Committee, Professional Sports Liaison Committee and the Faculty Athletics Representative Association.

  
Eileen Goldgeier Headshot
Eileen Goldgeier has served as Vice Chancellor and General Counsel at NC State University since March 2010. Previously, Goldgeier served as General Counsel at UNC Wilmington from 2003-2010, Associate General Counsel at NC State from 1997-2003, and an attorney in the Office of the Vice President and General Counsel at The Johns Hopkins University from 1992-1997. Prior to practicing law in-house for higher education institutions, Goldgeier was an associate attorney at the law firm currently known as Venable LLP from 1988-1991. Goldgeier earned her B.A. in environmental studies (honors) from Brown University and J.D. from Emory University School of Law. Goldgeier is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, Maryland, and the District of Columbia (inactive). She is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (Director from 2005-2008) and the Association of Corporate Counsel.

  
Janet Judge Headshot
Janet Judge is a litigation partner at Holland & Knight LLP, where she focuses her practice on employment, higher education, and intercollegiate sport law matters. She is listed in the Best Lawyers in America in the areas of employment and sports law. Janet is a member of the NCAA Commission to Combat Sexual Violence and the co-author of the NCAA’s Gender Equity manual. In addition to her law practice, Janet works with institutions and conferences to educate students, staff and faculty regarding prevention, intervention, and response.
