Tara Eyer Daub is a partner with Nixon Peabody LLP in the firm's Labor & Employment group, based in the firm's New York City and Long Island offices.  She has extensive experience representing institutions of higher education, private schools, and other clients a wide range of matters, including high profile litigations, governmental investigations, labor relations negotiations and disputes, and providing strategic and compliance counseling relating to employment decisions and policies. She defends clients against employment-related claims of all types, including wage-hour collective and class actions.  Ms. Daub is admitted to practice in federal and state courts in New York.  Early in her career, Ms. Daub worked in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Pennsylvania Department of Education.  

Allison B. Newhart is Associate General Counsel at The Pennsylvania State University, where she focuses her practice on labor and employment matters, student affairs, litigation, and Title IX and Clery Act compliance.  Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Allison was in private practice with a law firm in Philadelphia, where she concentrated her practice in higher education law, commercial litigation and labor and employment matters.  While in private practice, Allison advised numerous institutions of higher education on compliance with federal laws and regulations, risk management issues, and policy drafting, and has represented colleges and universities in litigation.  She has taught seminars in legal writing and research, FMLA compliance, and business law.  She is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and New Jersey Bar, and is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey. Allison is an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys.  She regularly presents at NACUA conferences, currently serves as a member of the NACUA Annual Conference Planning Committee, and has been a member of the NACUA Notes Editorial Board.  She has also served on the boards of various nonprofit organizations. Allison received her B.A., cum laude, from Lehigh University.  She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the Villanova Law Review.  While at Villanova, she was the recipient of the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in Health Law and her case note, The Intersection of Law and Medicine:  Providing Federal Funding for Embryonic Stem Cell Research, was published in the Villanova Law Review.
