The Office of the General Counsel at the University of Central Florida has an opening for an Associate General Counsel to work within the University's Office of Research. The position will report to the Senior Associate General Counsel for Research & Commercialization, providing legal support for complex intellectual property transactional matters related to development and licensing of intellectual property owned by the University of Central Florida Research Foundation, Inc.

The Central Florida Research Park is located contiguous to UCF, is ranked as one of the top five research parks nationally, and is home to the University of Central Florida Research Foundation, Inc.
Law degree (L.L.B. or J.D.), Registered U.S. Patent attorney and two years’ experience as an attorney. Must be a member of the Florida Bar or become a member within twelve months of employment.
Prefer candidate to have:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in advising businesses on, and preparing transactional documents for patents, copyrights, and trademarks
- Experience prosecuting patents, copyrights, and trademarks
- Experience working for or with colleges and universities
