Frequently Asked Questions About the Journal of College and University Law

1. How do I submit an article for publication in the JCUL?

Manuscripts may be submitted electronically or by mail to: Associate Dean John H. Robinson, Journal of College and University Law, Notre Dame Law School, Room B3, Notre Dame, IN 46556. (john.h.robinson.1@nd.edu).

Manuscripts should be typewritten on 8 1/2"x 11" paper and should be double-spaced. Set-off quotations should be double-spaced. Footnotes should reflect the format specified in the sixteenth edition of A Uniform System of Citation (the "Bluebook"). A paragraph on the title page should provide the position, educational background, address and telephone number of the author. Each author is expected to disclose in a footnote any affiliation or position, past present or prospective, that could be perceived to influence the author's views on matters discussed in the manuscript.

Decisions on publication usually are made within four weeks of a manuscript's receipt. A student editor, an outside reviewer, and the Faculty Editor edit articles accepted for publication. The Journal submits editorial changes to the author for approval before publication. The Faculty Editor reserves the right of final decision concerning all manuscript changes. When an article is approved for publication, the Journal retains the exclusive right to publish it, and the copyright is owned by NACUA.
