The Procurement Contract Manager will ensure consistent negotiation, development and management of all University-wide purchasing related contracts, oversight of the purchasing contract management process, development of purchasing contract standards, and contract management database. In the contract development process, provide close collaboration with various schools and departments, including the Office of General Counsel and Risk Management.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Master’s in Business Administration or J.D. preferred.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of professional experience, in a procurement environment, in contract negotiation and administration with demonstrated experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts across multiple commodities and specialized goods and services, including technology. Deep understanding of contract terms and conditions and how to structure contracts and business terms to the mutual benefit of the purchaser and the supplier. Expertise with crafting and understanding key performance measures; and a deep understanding of the overall contract administration process.
Contract management in a highly decentralized environment across complex categories such as facilities, R&D, services, technology, etc. Demonstrated responsibility and experience negotiating high value strategic long-term contracts with Fortune 1000 vendors. Multi-national agreements and/or contracts that cover services or delivering of goods to multiple geographies. Craft service level agreements that hold vendors accountable and deliver year-over-year productivity improvements.

Demonstrated ability to make effective business decisions, including the ability to apply logical thinking and exercise sound judgment. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with Jaggaer (SciQuest contract director tool) or comparable system.
