The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and facilitation of Dickinson College’s efforts to foster a working, learning and living environment that is free from sex-based discrimination, particularly sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking and other forms of harassment. This position is responsible for ensuring that the college’s Title IX policies, procedures and practices are in compliance with Title IX, as well as other laws addressing sexual misconduct on college campuses, such as the Clery Act and the Violence Against Women Act

Essential Functions Include:

Coordinate compliance programs for Title IX, VAWA, and the Clery Act; monitor and implement actions to comply with the Title IX, including other federal laws and regulations; promote commitment to working, learning and living environments free from harassment, discrimination and sexual misconduct;

Develop and periodically update policies and procedures necessary to achieve compliance with Title IX and other federal, state and local laws;

Provide oversight, training and leadership for all Title IX initiatives and maintain accurate records of all compliance efforts;        

Conduct an annual review of all formal and informal Title IX complaints and reports in order to identify and address any patterns or systemic problem that require attention;

Provide oversight of all reports, complaints and investigations related to sexual misconduct;

Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of periodic assessments (e.g. surveys) of campus climate

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and three to five years of relevant work experience. An advanced degree or Law degree preferred.
