For Members New to NACUA
Welcome to the National Association of College and University Attorneys! You have joined an organization whose mission is to advance the effective practice of higher education attorneys for the benefit of the colleges and universities they serve. Most of all, you are joining an association that is committed to practicing and promoting the core values of quality, service, civility, collegiality, diversity, inclusiveness and respect among more than 3,500 attorneys in the field of higher education law. We invite you to explore some of NACUA's benefits and services.
Participate in the NACUA Colleague Program
As networking is one of the most valuable benefits for NACUA's member attorneys, NACUA hopes to facilitate new members' networking experiences through the NACUA Colleague Program. We encourage new member attorneys to consider joining the New Member Colleague program. Participants in the Colleague Program will be paired with an existing member of NACUA who can be contacted with questions about membership and networking opportunities and NACUA activities. If you would like to be connected with a Colleague, please contact Miriam Miller at 202-833-5948 or via email.
Update Your Membership Profile with Your Professional Biography
The rich diversity of NACUA members' backgrounds, coupled with NACUA member attorneys' willingness to support NACUA's programs and services, contributes directly to the strength of NACUA's educational programming and member benefits.
We encourage you to share information about your background with NACUA. In addition to updating your NACUA member profile to share your areas of expertise, we invite you to complete a brief background information form. This form asks for additional information on your previous work experience, both within and outside of higher education law, as well as a brief biographical statement. To view a sample biography, please click here. With your permission, we will add this biography to your on-line NACUA member attorney profile, which can be accessed only by NACUA member attorneys through NACUA's password-protected on-line directory.
This information will help NACUA identify potential speakers, authors, and member volunteers. Completing this form is voluntary, but we hope you are willing to share this information. A link to the form can be found here. Please send your completed forms to Miriam Miller via fax at 202-296-8379 or via email.
