Speaker Biographical Information
Bruce D. Armon is a former co-chair of Saul Ewing LLP’s health practice. Bruce is managing partner of the firm's Philadelphia office. Bruce concentrates his practice in corporate healthcare law. He has assisted physicians, physician groups, hospitals, universities, academic medical centers, ancillary providers, healthcare entrepreneurs and insurers in a host of matters including: drafting, editing and negotiating agreements, HIPAA compliance, fraud and abuse analysis, and payment and reimbursement issues. Bruce regularly lectures to a variety of audiences on healthcare-related legal issues, and writes articles and handbooks for multiple publications. He is regularly quoted in publications regarding healthcare legal and regulatory issues. Bruce is active in the community, and serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Committee of Seventy, and Adath Jeshuran Synagogue.
Jane Jordan is Deputy General Counsel and Chief Counsel for Health Affairs for Emory University. She has primary responsibility for providing advice to and representing Emory’s various health care entities, including Emory’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center and all of its components. She serves as lead attorney in advising the Boards of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and Emory Healthcare. She is a member of the Woodruff and Emory Healthcare executive management team and is the corporate secretary for Emory Healthcare and Emory/Saint Joseph’s, Inc. LLC. Prior to her current position, Ms. Jordan was a partner in the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, L.L.P. and previously at Kilpatrick Stockton, LLP. She received her B.A. from Furman University magna cum laude, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina, where she was President of the Moot Court Bar. She was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Vining, Jr., United States District Judge for the Northern District of Georgia. Ms. Jordan is a member of the Georgia and South Carolina Bar Associations.
James A. Keller is the Co-Chair of the Higher Education Practice Group at Saul Ewing LLP and is a Partner in and a Vice-Chair of Saul Ewing's Litigation Department. For more than 10 years, Jim has been helping educational institutions manage high-profile legal risk, including severe student injuries and deaths, violent or criminal activity on campus, government investigations, and compliance. Saul Ewing's Higher Education team provides Jim with immediate cross-office, cross-disciplinary support and the ability to jump in and handle any crisis effectively and efficiently.
