PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
NACUA announces its 2nd General Counsel Institute, a unique program designed especially to address the needs and concerns of the Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel of a college or university. Created based on input from many institutional general counsel across the country and organized by a planning group of experienced general counsel, the Institute will cover a wide range of topics of special interest to the in-house General Counsel, whether serving as sole in-house counsel or leading a GC office comprised of many lawyers. The Institute furthers the Association's strategic priority to provide programs of special interest to institutional General Counsel and provides in-house General Counsel from all parts of the country and all varieties of institutions an opportunity to learn from and with their peers and colleagues.
This year's Institute features an expanded number of sessions designed to increase the breadth of coverage and options for attendees. Institute panels will be primarily led and composed of experienced general counsel, and will be accompanied by practical written material that registrants can take from the Institute and adapt for use at their own institutions. The Institute also features an expanded number of twelve Small Discussion Groups to provide an opportunity for in-depth and candid conversation on specific topics, and additional networking and social events to allow registrants to meet and confer informally.
Take advantage of NACUA's 2nd General Counsel Institute, designed for you as the General Counsel of your institution. For applicable institutions, Deputy GCs can attend along with the General Counsel or in his/her stead. We look forward to seeing you in Washington, DC!
