O n April 4, 2011, the U.S. Department for Education Office of Civil Rights (OCR) released its "Dear Colleague" letter on sexual violence. The letter contains a number of recommendations and requirements concerning institutional response to allegations of sexual violence. Among these recommendations are provisions concerning training of students and employees, appointment of Title IX coordinators, and institutional grievance procedures.

OCR has stated that it expects "immediate compliance" with the letter. This comprehensive, one-day program will examine in detail the substance of the DCL and how institutions are complying with its requirements.
