Honors and Awards Ceremony

NACUA invites attendees and their guests to join us as we recognize NACUA’s 2007-2008 Honors and Awards recipients. This ceremony will include recognition of Distinguished Service, Fellow, First Decade, and Life Member Awardees.

Opening Reception Sponsored by the Employment Law Alliance

This annual event continues the tradition of providing attendees with the opportunity to reunite with NACUA friends and colleagues on the first evening of the Annual Conference. Remember to show your school pride by wearing your choice of collegiate wear! A string quintet from The Juilliard School of Music will provide entertainment for the evening. NACUA will also provide a “Kids Corner” with kid-friendly food. Free to all paid attendees; $30 for adult guests, $10 for children ( 6-12), free for children 5 and under.

Networking Breakfast

Monday’s breakfast provides attendees with the opportunity to catch up with their NACUA friends and colleagues. Please note that there will be no program for this breakfast.

Monday Social Event: Jazz Performance at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola

On Monday evening, a student jazz ensemble from Juilliard will be performing at Dizzy's Club at Lincoln Center at 7:30 pm. Though this is not a NACUA sponsored-event, please contact Meredith McMillan if you wish to receive more information on how to obtain tickets for this jazz set. (A second set, featuring professional jazz performances, will also be performing later at 9:30 pm that evening.)

Association Leadership and Membership Recognition Breakfast Sponsored by Patton Boggs LLP

Join your NACUA colleagues for Tuesday’s Association Leadership and Membership Recognition Breakfast. The program will include:

• • Remarks from outgoing President Henry Cuthbert (Duke University)
• • Remarks from incoming President Mary Kennard (American University)
• • Results of Nominations and Elections
• • Recognition of NACUA’s 2007-2008 member attorney volunteers and retirees

All member attorney conference attendees will be entered into a drawing for their institution to receive a complimentary registration to the 2009 Annual Conference in Toronto, ON. Attendees must be present at the breakfast to be eligible to win the complimentary registration.

Association Networking Luncheon and Affinity Group Luncheons Sponsored by Proskauer Rose LLP

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with colleagues during the Association Luncheon. Attendees can also participate in affinity group luncheons for those with a commonality of regional, institutional, or personal interests. A list of Affinity Groups will be posted in late April.
