TWO DISCUSSION GROUPS ADDED TO CONFERENCE SCHEDULE!
NACUA is pleased to announce the addition of two discussion groups to the Annual
Conference Schedule.
Session 6I : iTunes U: Is It Right for Your U?

University) and Lynette Phillips (SUNY at?
Stony Brook), this discussion group will explore the Apple iTunes proposal and how it
would work , the experiences of current participating institutions, the Apple iTunes
agreements:, the iTunes QuickTime Bundling Agreement, the iTunes QuickTime University
Distribution License Agreement, and the iTunes U Services Agreement, as well as advantages
and disadvantages and legal and practical issues.
Session 8I: EPA's Proposed Academic Laboratories Rule: A
More Flexible Approach to the Management of Hazardous Waste or Additional Regulatory
Burden?

Led by David J. Monz (Updike Kelly &
Spellacy, P.C.), this discussion group will explore the entities and materials
P\potentially impacted by the Academic Laboratories Rule, key elements of the Rule and
applicability to institutions, comparison with existing hazardous waste regulations,
examination of key differences and evaluation of regulatory relief afforded or additional
burden imposed by each, strategies for assessing regulatory alternatives, and determining
whether institutions can benefit from the rule or should continue to operate under
existing regulations.

All Conference attendees should receive
an email on June 9 from Conference Archives
with a username and password access conference materials on-line via a password protected
website.
Once you receive your username and password, you can visit the site to print materials,
including session power points, in advance of the Conference. The site will be live
through the end of September, so attendees may print materials after the conclusion of the
conference as well.
Conference attendees may also pre-order
the Conference CD-ROM at a special
discounted rate of $59 through Wednesday, June 28. Loaded with all the written
materials and PowerPoints (including materials that are not included in the complete
binder), as well as audio of most Conference sessions, the CD-ROM is the most
comprehensive archive of the Conference available. The CD-ROM will ship approximately 2-4
weeks after the Conference and can be used on your desktop or laptop computer. Click here to order!

LEADERSHIP BREAKFAST AND VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION CEREMONY
NACUA hopes you will join your colleagues
for the Association Leadership Breakfast and Member Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday, June 27 at 8:00 a.m. The program will
include remarks from outgoing President Melinda Grier
and incoming President Georgia Yuan, the
results of NACUAs Nominations and Elections. In addition, NACUA will recognize
2005-2006s committee volunteers, speakers, and authors, as well as members who have
retired this year. All breakfast attendees will be entered into a drawing for their
institution to receive one of two complimentary registrations to the 2007 Annual
Conference.
DAVINCI EXHIBIT AT THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE
AND INDUSTRY
Explore an interactive exhibit on the innovations and inventions of Leonardo DaVinci.
Exhibit attendees will have the opportunity to test Leonardos flying machines and a
seven-foot catapult, view more than 100 invention sketches in 3-D format, and see replicas
of commissioned sculptures.
Additional exhibits at the museum include the only U-505 Submarine in the United States, a
functioning chick hatchery, a miniature fairy castle, a walk through human heart, and
