Thomas S. D'Antonio is a partner at Ward Norris Heller & Reidy. His focus is on employment litigation, healthcare litigation, and the representation of academic medical centers and institutions of higher learning. His experience also includes formal and informal dispute resolution of employment matters, with an emphasis on neutral evaluation and mediation. His higher education work involves, in addition to employment defense, matters involving tenure review and denial, scientific and academic misconduct, University governance, student discipline claims and serious general liability matters. Mr. D’Antonio has for the past ten years been named to the Best Lawyers in America after a confidential and detailed peer evaluation process. He has been United Educators’ Select Counsel in New York State for higher education matters for many years, and he also is approved counsel for various other insurers of higher education institutions. He lectures frequently to lawyers and industry groups on various legal issues of interest, and he is active in numerous community affairs and organizations. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the College of William and Mary School of Law, and a B.A., cum laude, from Union College in Schenectady, New York

Nelson E. Roth is Deputy University Counsel and Chief of the Litigation Section of Counsel's Office at Cornell University. Previously, he served as a New York State Special Prosecutor & Deputy Attorney General (New York State Police Evidence Tampering Investigation) and practiced in Ithaca, NY and Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Roth has taught evidence and appellate advocacy, among other courses, at the Cornell Law School. He also served a six-year term as a member of the Committee on Professional Standards, New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department. Mr. Roth earned his bachelor's degree from Antioch College (1971) and his law degree from the University of California, Davis (1975).

Dana Scaduto (moderator) is General Counsel for Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. Previously she was in private practice in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she represented several Central Pennsylvania private colleges in general business, student affairs and intellectual property matters. Ms. Scaduto has served on numerous NACUA Committees, and is currently serving on the Legal Education Committee and chairs the Committee's Virtual Seminar subcommittee. Ms. Scaduto holds an A.B. from Purdue University and a J.D. from Indiana University.
