Mary Phelps Dugan (Moderator), General Counsel for the University of Nevada, Reno, received her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1984. She became a member of the Nevada Bar in 1985. Mary served as law clerk to the Honorable William N. Forman in the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada before entering private practice. She joined the litigation firm of Laxalt and Nomura in 1986, where she became a partner. In 1995 Mary left private practice to become a public lawyer with the State of Nevada Attorney General’s office in the litigation division. In1997, Mary joined the General Counsel’s office of the University and Community College System of Nevada, now known as the Nevada System of Higher Education as Assistant General Counsel. In 2005, Mary was appointed General Counsel for the University of Nevada, Reno. Mary also holds a B.A. in French and a B.F.A. in Modern Dance, Summa Cum Laude, from Texas Christian University (1978) and a M. A. in French Literature from the University of Kansas (1981).

Stephen J. Hirschfeld is a founding partner in the San Francisco office of Curiale, Dellaverson, Hirschfeld & Kraemer, LLP. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Employment Law Alliance, the world’s largest network of labor and employment lawyers. Mr. Hirschfeld practices in the areas of labor and employment law and related litigation. Mr. Hirschfeld has extensive experience counseling higher education institutions ranging from major public research universities to small private liberal arts colleges. He is co-author of: Conducting An Effective Internal Investigation; and Stopping Sexual Harassment: An Employer's Guide. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, in 1979 from St. Lawrence University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and his J.D. in 1982 from The George Washington University National Law Center.

Judith A. Malone has been a partner at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP since 1990, she practices mainly in the area of employment law. She counsels employers on issues ranging from organizational restructuring to individual termination cases, and on policies and practices to deal with current employment issues. Ms. Malone litigates employment-related claims in both state and federal court, and has represented clients in a variety of discrimination actions, including claims involving race, sex, national origin, disability, sexual harassment, and age discrimination. Some of Ms. Malone’s notable experience includes representing Northeastern University in a case before the First Circuit Court of Appeals concerning interpretation of the FLSA Law, with a favorable ruling in a case of first impression that time spent obtaining certification for work as a university police officer was not compensable. (Bienkowski v. Northeastern University). Ms. Malone has represented Xerox Corporation in disability discrimination claims by a former employee. She was also named Leading Massachusetts Lawyer in Employment. She is also listed in America's Leading Business Lawyers 2003-2004; Chambers USA. She graduated magna cum laude Boston College Law School, J.D. Order of the Coif: 1977-78 and obtained her B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi.
