| NACUA's Outline Guide is a convenient reference to all outlines
resulting from NACUA Annual Conferences and CLE workshops. The outlines are organized by
the Universal Subject Matter Index (USMI), which follows
the same classification of higher education law topics as NACUAs Legal Reference
Service. 1. To access the Outline Guide
Universal Subject Matter Index Search, move your cursor to the Legal Reference Service
drop-down menu and select "Outline Guide."

2. Select the option for "Search The Outline
Guide using NACUA's USMI Index"

3. Click on one of USMI main headings to
search for available outlines.

4. Each Main USMI Heading has subcategories to help
narrow your search.
When you click on the subcategory, you will be directed to the Outline Guide for that
area.

5. Each outline reference contains:
- the title of the outline
- the author
- the nature of the outline (e.g. narrative or topical, with citations
or case summaries, bibliographies or attachments)
- the length of the outline
- the program where presented
- the main headings used in the outline by the author
If the outline is available on-line, there will be a Hyperlink to
access the outline (If the outline is available in alternative formats, there will be
links for both MS-Word and Adobe.pdf versions)

6. Most outlines (since 1995) are available
on-line. If the outline is not available on-line, you can order documents by calling the
Legal Reference Service (202-833-8390) or sending them an e-mail at lrs@nacua.org, including the document title and number
along with your contact information. All LRS documents are free of charge to NACUA
members.
