is great for conducting a very broad and general search of the Archives, but you also have
the option for using a Boolean search to narrow down your results.
The search screen has a helpful link which describes all of your
Boolean options and gives easy to follow examples.

Three of the most useful Boolean searches available are the "and",
"or", and "exact phrase"
searches.

4. "And" Search:
Enter your Boolean search term, select YES for Boolean Search and click SEARCH. This
search will bring up results that contain both of the terms listed.

5. "Or" Search:
Enter your Boolean search term, select YES for Boolean Search and click SEARCH. The
following search will bring up results that contain at least one of the terms listed

6. Exact Phrase Search Enter your
Boolean search term, select YES for Boolean Search and click SEARCH. The following
search will bring up results that contain your exact phrase

7. Using the Restricted
Archive Search: You can also restrict your search to any of the archives.
For example, you can search for the EXACT PHRASE "conditional gifts" and
narrow your search to just NACUA Conference Outlines and the Archive of What's New
Documents. Enter your Boolean search term, click YES for Boolean Search, select the
archives you want and click SEARCH
