| While the weekly "Case Highlights" emails are a great way
to stay current on higher education developments, there's no need to wait until Monday for
the email since cases on the Higher Education Case Highlights page can be accessed at any
time using the following procedure: 1.
From the Legal Reference Service drop-down menu select "Case Highlights."
2. Next, click the "Access the
Higher Education Case Highlights" link.
3. You will be taken to a page with four
links, select the first item listed "Higher Education Case Highlights."
4. The "Higher Education Case
Highlights" page will contain links to all higher education related cases that have
been posted to West's "Topical Highlights -- Education" service over the past
two weeks. Each entry will appear as below:
1 = The date that the entry was posted to the NACUA web site
2 = The West-assigned subject heading
3 = Case name (also functions as a link to the full-text of
the case)
4 = The date of the West-prepared case summary
5 = West's summary of the case
5. Clicking the link will transfer
you from the NACUA web site to the Westlaw web site where the full text of the case
resides. There will be no need to re-enter your NACUA log in information, nor will
you need a special West password unless you want to access the additional
resources that West provides, such as the "Case History" link below.
