NACUA's Committees, Work Groups and Task Forces

Committee work in NACUA is important, constant, highly responsible and professionally enjoyable. The first duty of the President is to appoint all committees. Each new president has usually compiled a list of interested volunteers well before taking office. Recommendations from Committee Chairs and Officers are also taken into account before appointments are announced. The selection process begins in early Spring, for appointments to take effect in June. Volunteers are welcome and should write early (e.g. in January or February) to the President-Elect and Committee Chairs (or other Board Members) to express interest. Please note that NACUA does not offer travel reimbursement for service on committees. However, increasingly, committees are operating by mail, FAX, telephone, and e-mail; the inability of an institution or a law firm to cover related travel expenses should not preclude any one from serving on a committee.
